The new document creation experience more closely resembles the real documents you will send to your clients, so that it is easier to see what will go where in the final estimate or invoice. This means professional documents are faster and easier to build for your customers.

Brand new design optimized for laptops/desktops of all sizes
The new design is optimized for use on all laptops/desktops. The app is easier to navigate, uses beautiful two-pane layouts while browsing client and items lists, and is optimized to look great on every computer from small netbooks to large home desktops.
Simplified data export
Now you can easily export your estimates/invoices to save time for tax season. Your accountant will thank you! Click here to learn more about how to export your data.
Multiple contracts & signatures
You sign. They sign. If your estimate/invoice requires having multiple signatures, simply turn on the signature toggles and sign on the final document. Now you can ensure your business is covered in any situation.
Improvements to stability and performance
We’ve taken great care to fix a number of lingering issues from the old website. We’ll be continuing to monitor issues and listening to your feedback. You and your business can always rely on Joist.
You can now duplicate existing estimates and invoices for even quicker document creation! (Click here to learn how to use this great new feature). This is great for estimates that are similar, or when sending multiple estimates to a client.
IMPORTANT: All your estimates, invoices, clients and items were unaffected by this update and are all unchanged in your account. Your JOIST account is just as secure as it has always been. Plus, JOIST is still free and you do not have to pay to use JOIST!
